Want the opportunity to work in a startup like environment while enjoying the benefits of being part of a large dynamic company, which connects everything and empowers everyone? The Emerging Technologies Business Unit (ETBU) is a small startup like group within Juniper developing new products and technologies for application layer networking. We are looking for highly skilled individuals who thrive in fast paced environments, can take initiative and love to build new products as much as we do. You¹ll be part of a tightly knit and motivated team that works hard and has lots of fun in the process.
As an engineer in the early phase of product development, you will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the product lifecycle from gathering requirements, to understanding and defining the software architecture, to designing, writing and testing the code, to final product delivery. We lay a strong emphasis on getting things right the first time and not accumulating technical debt. We encourage engineers to champion their ideas and engage in healthy debates but in the end rally around the common goal - to build awesome products for our customers.
Responsibilities A day in the life of a successful candidate would involve developing functional specifications for features in collaboration with product managers, customers and architects; designing, writing and unit testing software; working closely with QA engineers through the testing cycle; having some planned time to think and be creative; and above all making sure that backing up every step is the thought to build the best product that exceeds the customer¹s highest expectations
