The National Geographic Society Technology team is seeking a Senior Application Developer to lead development of online applications and web interfaces in a exciting and changing industry.

Infrastructure: making our backend more robust, automated, and scalable. We need to continue making our applications and products accessible quickly and easily.
Applications: building new applications to work with our online properties and develop new ways to share the robust amount of data and media created every day in our Society. Senior Application Developer: Exceptional experienced with the Django framework, utilizing both Python and PostgreSQL databases. You’re not happy with just any solution to many of the situations a large media company is constantly faced with, but you’re constantly after the right solution. We're looking for people who are versed in our industry and are excited to keep learning. We look at the direction the Web is going and look at every possible solution as things evolve. Working from home is encouraged.
