Full Time / Denver, Colorado
We at BiggerPockets are searching for a full-stack Ruby developer to join a small, international team. BiggerPockets.com is one of the most respected online real estate networking and information resource platforms, created for professionals, investors, homeowners, and other aficionados, with a web app that serves millions of page views per month to its 130,000+ members and other visitors.
We're looking for someone who has development skills, creativity, reliability, the ability to keep deadlines, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to share their opinions. You will be assisting in maintaining the application as well as expanding it with new features and projects.
With only a small, tight-knight team, we've managed to build a website that has gained national attention, and we're hoping to expand that group to help us execute on our growth goals. If you're looking to be a part of a big corporate entity, this is not the job for you. If, however, you're looking to join a fantastic startup with exciting possibilities, please get in touch!
Our technology stack contains all the usual suspects: Ruby and the Rails framework, MySQL, HTML and CSS (with some CoffeeScript) and Resque. If you're a passionate developer with at least two years experience using these tools, we'd love to hear from you. You'll also have the opportunity to work with mobile technologies (including RubyMotion) in the future. You will be working alongside our lead (and, right now, only) developer, and be undertaking both collaborative and solo development projects. Your duties will be to develop, design, test and deploy new features for the website (both front- and back-end). The position is remote, but anyone local to Denver, CO or the south of England would be preferable.
We're flexible and laid back; but we expect greatness from all involved with BiggerPockets!
CS/Engineering degree, Computer Science degree or demonstrated equivalent experience.
