We're a team of three, and are hiring 4 more engineers right now. We're pushing the limits of NLP, writing new disambiguation algorithms and deploying them at scale.
At Newsle, you can work on all aspects of the product, from building and scaling the core NLP algorithms to generating newsfeeds and pushing them to the frontend.
Newsle is funded by top VCs and based in San Francisco.
-Teach computers to understand news and social graphs -Identify interesting patterns in existing datasets -Work on cutting-edge NLP/machine learning problems while keeping focus on the product -Implement and scale new ideas from NLP/ML research
Qualifications – Requirements:
-Strong CS and math background -Interest in applying algorithms to improve the product -Strong communication skills and a desire to work on a small team
Qualifications – Helpful:
-Computer science or math degree from a strong undergrad or graduate department -Experience in any of the following: -Supervised learning (Decision Trees, Logistic Regression, SVMs, etc) -Unsupervised learning (topic modeling by LDA, NMF, Isomap, autoencoders) -Deep-learning approaches (Neural Networks) -Designing features for a domain problem, and running the project from the prototype phase to production, with a high-performance implementation -Python, MySQL
